How Do You Set Up A Exit Portal?

I couldn't figure it out for the life of me.

I'm using Blendigo to set up me scene with a sunlight. I then cover up the openings with a mesh plane and set it to EXIT PORTAL. My end result is a pitch black scene with nothing visible.

Am I missing something obvious here?

The normals of exit portal must face inwards.
Flip the normals and see if it helps.

Oh yes, those damn normals. :oops:

That fixed it rather quick. Thanks much. I've literally been kicking myself over this for a few hours.

Hi !
I have a room with a hole in the ceiling. The only lightsource is a sun. With exit-portal it is much slower than without.
I use blendigo, indigo_09_test3. The exit-portal is a plane (4 verticles) facing inwards.
Any ideas?

try setting bidir = true
hybrid = false

Hmm, the fastest (in micro-seconds/sample) is all off, no exit portal.

The rate of reduction in noise is the important thing, not samples per second.

Yeah, you could be getting more samples per second, but they're being used on portions of the scene your camera can't see.
