I there guys

I would like to know if anyone here( Indigo 4 beta tester) is interested in making a speed test (with indigo 4) of an exterior scene i've been working on ( Indigo 3 8)). I think it would be nice to see a preview of Indigo 4 speed with a real exterior project and not only with a tea pot. ( i am assuming there is already a beta of indigo 4  ).
So, i have already made a couple shots of this project , same rendering time and settings , same pc ..Etc. and one of them after 1H 40 Min of rendering still has some white dots.. and well, that is why id like to know how much faster indigo 4 can be. 8)

If anyone is interested i will share the scene :D .

My pc config. is :
Intel I7 5890x Overclocked to 4.2 Ghz
64 Gb RAM
Nvidia Geforce GTX Titan 12 gb and I stoped the image at 1 Hr. 40 min ( the white dots are no very visible in this resolution , but they can be seen in the full size image).

Regards

Yeah, I can try. :)

Btw - to get rid of the fireflies, try raising the Supersampling value to 4 or 5.

Hi Oscar. Thank you for yor reply. :D
If i increase the supersampling will it take longer to get rid of the fireflies ? :?

I am glad you want to try out the exterior scene . Thank you.

Let me know if you run any problems.

I'll be waiting the test result :D .

High enough super sampling will get rid of the fireflies, yes.

Here's a GPU render with SS = 5. Just over 6 minutes with my Radeon HD 7970. I had to disable the double sided thin materials as they are not implemented yet. However DST has been greatly optimised for CPU in Indigo 4 (have had a 4x speedup in one scene), so let's hope that finds its way into the GPU mode as well. :)

You'll also see that the bump mapping is looking strange on the sidewalk pavement, though I think that has just been fixed.

Damn!!!..That was fast !!! :D
I can see there's something weird with the sidewalk bump(you already mentioned it) I think is not big deal.
What happen to the tree leaves? Missing textures?

Thank you for your time my friend :) It was a pleasant result.

Yeah I just changed the double sided thin materials to a green phong because DST isn't supported yet. :)

How or where do i change the supersampling value to more than 3?. 3 is the maximum value Skyindigo allows me to set.

Try typing in the value instead of using the slider, if possible. Not a Sketchup user unfortunately. You can always change it in the Indigo GUI of course (Render settings).
