Someone of Glare Tech can comment about the OpenCL version will be supported on the new GPU renderer?
Asking since appear that OpenCL 2.0 AMD driver it's supported only on Windows 8.1

The current minimum spec is OpenCL 1.1, and I'd like to make OpenCL 2.0 required but NVIDIA is lagging behind in this regard

?
What I meant is, NVIDIA's OpenCL support is lagging behind, i.e. they are now the only ones not supporting OpenCL 2.0.

For sure waiting for Nvidia it's not the best option for OpenCL optimization, since Nividia is fiercly pushing for his closed architecture.
If you are working on OpenCL 1.1 will be absolutelly compatible with almost any hw, for sure you will loose 2.0 features (such as shared virtual memory) really useful to push for CPU+GPU hybrid architecture adoption.
Many vendors in the 3D and NLE editing market developed both OpenCL and CUDA version, but obviously this will need more developing resources.
I did read current OpenCL 2.0 AMD driver is mainly for developers, hope final release will also support Windows 7 since I did find modded versions of the driver that already do so.
