In some situations there is no need for more instances out of the camera view. a optional falloff parameter would be great here.

Scattered objects now follow displaced surfaces.
Also they are placed according to triangle area properly now.

Great!
..may be good to have it as an option though, because grass basically follows the normals, but trees tend to be more vertical :wink:
