Thanx for sharing, my main griefs aren't with what happens under the hood, but with the new steps, often more, which happens to accomplish (what before were) simple things.
It's a bit like if you had entered home while expecting the furniture to be moved and find that along with it an all set of divisions have been moved .
There was no real problem from 95 to 98 to XP, these were migrations which took the past experience, improved on and rely on a common ground. I don't have any special problem that they make an OS to all those new users, but as I don't belong to that group I'm obviously not to experience all these benefits, beside I don't have the time nor the patience to learn new dog's tricks, to do more to actually do the same.
In short, if I had vista disguised as XP I wouldn't mind, all these improvements under the hood are obviously good, I just don't need to reinvent the way I interact with the computer for the sake of it, I have OSX for that, an OS with has a guidance, which due to it's size doesn't suffer from the democratic disease that Windows lingers, where you can have multiple ways of doing the same thing due to this. I just want the best one, and can live with that, now if only this aqua windows were rendered with Indigo...
