On this page there is a tutorial called "Lighting with Materials" by Neville Page, and in it he uses photoshop to create a shader to light his model in Zbrush. Make sense? Probably not, but watch the video and it will.

And also in C4D, if you have Sketch & Toon (use the "Art" shader).
