This was presented at the CES - didn't find any price tags :(

Already asked Thomas about that
Unfortunately there isn't much technical information available yet, white-papers about the exact functionality and restrictions of the hardware, so only time will tell...

Since this hardware is based on the vaporware from Caustic Graphis, who announced raytracing cards back in 2009 but never delivered, I'm quite cautious with my excitement

Yes you are right - but dreaming of an indigo render slave in the app store and a render farm of five mobile phones is just too good

and btw they DID deliver raytraced cards :D

Yes, they had qa launch, and yes there has been some hardware samples handed out to the press, but afaik (correct me if I'm wrong!) you never been able to buy a card, only preorder on their website...

Yes I was referring to the fact that the cards you could "order" were just raytraced (or otherwise shaded) images :D

Hi

PowerVR is the name of the graphics division of Imagination Tech. a British company that designs but does not build chips. Apple in its custom A4/8 (spec. ARM) iPhone / iPad included a GPU designed by Apple on guidelines PowerVR. The card view is an evaluation board to demonstrate its potential. The market is another thing.
nVidia Quadro is born for desktop it is now available for laptops!
However it is good to be careful!
