Think will probably good for some very specific applications, speaking about a non expert I did search extensively on the topic, searching for the easiest and fastest solution to produce some 3D animation.

Testing and reading (interesting also this forum topic http://forums.cgsociety.org/archive/ind ... 99446.html) appear that game engine can be good if you need to create interactive rendering or rework the final production of the rendering, but it's not good if you need to change often your 3D design and lightening.

In fact my choice was Indigo for this specific reason: fast enough (and will be faster on GPU rendering) and easy enough to learn and produce a 3D animation, focusing on the artistic side without the need to learn tricks needed to go around the fact the game engine itself is built for a different purpose.

Hopefully in the future the difference between realtime biased and unbiased will blur.
