I would love to see how Indigo renders on this bad boy

Post by Juju » Wed Oct 29, 2014 11:18 pm

DARPA's boffins have just set a new world record in computing with a solid-state integrated circuit that packs the power of a supercomputer into a single chip. You thought your six-core, 3.9 Ghz Mac Pro was a computational powerhouse? This single chip is around 250 times as fast.

That article is bull**** I suppose. The real topic is about integrating amplifiers for THz signals in a chip. This may be useful for jet fighter radar electronics, medical imaging, maybe in some years for your 7G smartphone, or for a 1M$ microwave oven with high heating uniformity. But nothing to do with logic ICs and thus with processors.

Not that I know what the article is really about, but that reply by galinette appears to be reasonable elite to the max <3
