I came across this paper which I thought would be of interest. It describes an algorithm to simulate optical dispersion in a dielectric of a thickness similar to that of the wavelength of visible light.

The results are pretty cool and although the paper doesn't apply it to anything more complex than soap bubbles, it would be interesting to see what the Indigo community could do with it.

I don't think it would be too hard to simulate interference effects from thin films, at least to a decent approximation, I don't think it's that useful tho

Ono Maxwell has thin films and coatings...i think its very important for complex and non ususal materials...like....perl for example..what u think?i believe its a Must Have coatings....
