False colors in Indigo

Post by delle » Tue Feb 10, 2009 1:37 am

Hi, it would be nice if Indigo could create a "false color image" to do "Light Analysis", like this one....

would be a pretty cool feature
..specially if the colors are related to physical values (e.g. Lux)

ben, nick, i have to bump this!

wouldnt that actually be pretty easy? which measure has the data stored in the in the image buffer (igi file)? i suspect its... cd?

It would be just another tonemapping mode, right? Please implement, it would be a quite unique feature and i think indigo needs to stand out of the crowd! :)

This would be nice :D

And while you're at it, controls for what wavelength to render in between would be so cool.. X3
Night vision, X-Ray, UV..

Just saying ^^

And my 2 pennies:

How about controls for rendering a scene based on what dimension you're in. ie. if hitler won the war, if you were really born a girl, if we all had ginger hair etc etc.

That way you could render just one single scene, toggle the quantum mechanics dial and try home in on the dimension where you rendered THE most awesomest render ever and presto.
