Mesh randomly doesn't render?

This has happend to me several times now and was wondering what the problem could be
i'm using the newest veresion of indigo .6 or w/e it is off the thread. and u3d's newest exporter for max 8.
I have a small interiror environment scene. When i try to render the whole thing, my banister mesh dissapears. But when i render just the stairs, the banister is there. So some reason when i unhide all the scene, some parts just don't render.
has anyone encountered this before?
All the normals are facing outwards i've checked that, i just don't understand why it will render by itself, but not while everything else is visible?

It seems you have missed some materials

Only use Indigo materials ... the exporter will stop when there is a false material in the scene.. this is all i can think of so far ..

cheers

Nope they all had indigo materials
i thin i figured the problem out, max had given a couple of my objects duplicate names, so i think that overwrote the other in the XML file, so i changed all the names, now i'm getting bunch of other errors all of a sudden.!
BAH!

The new error i'm getting

MAXScript Rollout Hanlder Exception

--Runtime error: Mesh vertex index out of range: 127

never had this before

Another new error

--Runtime error: Mesh operation on non-mesh: Editable poly
