Do you mean that both results were archived by rendering the same igs file two times???
attaching the scene would really help dude

attached - make sure all files and folders are in the same directory.
This is how SKindgo exports em out

So... what's the bug?

have a look at the position of the caustic on the bottom of the glass sphere
same scene, 2 different renders, it moved
possibly related to the Sun movement bug

That's not a bug, it's just an odd case of slow convergence. Let it render for longer.

I think CoolColJ is referring to the 'caustic' ON the bottom of the sphere itself (I believe it's actually a reflection or refraction) . . . not the caustics on the floor beneath the sphere.

That's what I'm referring to as well.

Well then . . . that is as you said, an odd case of slow convergence.

the problem is, that you can't reproduce this issue with the scene

I did 5 renderings for 45minutes each on 2x2ghz dualcore.
But I have to admit that since 0.9t1 reflections on specular materials need VERY long to convergence!
some wired
reflections stay for long time till they disappear (WinOSi Test Scene for example)
