[REQ] Network Client management

Post by zeitmeister » Thu Dec 04, 2014 10:08 pm

Hi,
it would be useful to manage the network clients.
F.e. to choose which clients should be used for which job.
My wish, besides the HDRLightStudio-connection. :-)
Cheers, David

Also,
maximum use of CPU would be nice.

For example:
- I have a scene and want to start rendering.
- BEFORE I do that, I have a list with checkboxes where the nodes are listed. In the same window I have a CPU-usage input field; by default at 100%.
- Now I can uncheck the clients I don't want to use and edit the CPU-usage.
- When I'm done, I start the rendering.

What do you think?
For me it would be very useful, because I can easily manage the nodes to what or if they should render.

Cheers, David

Have you had a go with RenderPal (v2) ?

RenderPal is quite cool, but for me it seems to be a little bit too much hustle.
It is mighty for bigger pipelines than ours, no doubt.
But I really like that basic client management directly in Indigo for easy going. :)
