[REQ] frame upload interval

Hi guys!
I would really appreciate to set a frame upload/refresh interval in the exporter.
For me it would be quite useful for network rendering.
And it would fit perfectly with the "wait for slave frames"-option to manage rendertimes and network traffic more efficiantly.
What do you think?
Thanks in advance!
GrĂ¼sse, zeiti

I'm with you Zeiti!
While very useful for previews, the whole merging of receiving frames also slows down the master, and is super obsolete for long run rendering...

Hehe, nice render!
An user-defined interval would help getting the best out of speed and merging.

If I'm right, the user-defined interval was removed due to the possibility to f**k Indigo up by having a to low interval, so the slaves are sending their output all the time, not keeping up with the interval...
In the example image above you have a speed of roughly 950s/sec per slave machine so 3 such machines should go for ~2850s/sec! I loose 287s/sec or 1/4 of CPU time of the master by that
This is way to much and it gets even more the more slaves are connected!
Keep the auto network interval, but please please with sugar on top, bring back the slave command -frame_upload_period, so advanced users who want can use it!

Word.
If I know the samples I need I want all clients to send their frames only at the very End to the master, for example. This would safe a lot of time in the beginning.
