Panorama / Spherical renders

Title says it all! More and more clients are asking for "those images where you can turnaround in", I think this should be a much needed option that should be implemented soon! Please?
I'm aware there are turnarounds, but many times scarified by quality, and I don't want to render 6 images to their same SPP, this would be a great timesaver and client winner + satisfier!

Great that many community members want it! Can we now add it somewhere on the top of the priority list...?
Had 3 clients asking for this in the past 2 weeks, would be great to tell them 'okay no problem'

Since its a oooooold request, I wouldn't be that optimistic to see it that soon -.-'
But since "orthographic camera" made it into Indigo, a spherical one may be in reach

Beside "those images where you can turnaround in", the possibility to bake a custom 3d environment in HDRI and use it later on for any interior scene sealed by portals sounds like a must to me. A way to work the "you can't render beyond portals" issue around.

Zom-B, yes I saw a thread from 2010 requesting this, there were some hints it might be included in 2.4 or 2.6, I don't remember too well. I'm not expecting this to have it immediately, but I hope sometime soon (next major release, hint hint?)
CTZn, haven't thought about that but sounds great too! This would be a great workaround indeed!

This shouldn't be too hard, I'll look into it soon.

Sometimes it isn't fun to see that you integrate features we are requested years ago in few hours -.-'
But in the end the result is that counts
Foxar, I think you can give your clients a call now

Haha sorry about that

To be fair it's not done yet. Need to make it work with bidir, then do GUI integration work, XML loading etc.., all of which takes quite a while
Edit:
Also now that we have ortho cam support, adding new camera types is a lot easier.

@ OnoSendai, oooooh boy, this is just getting better and better!
@ Zom-B, at least we succeeded requesting! Unfortunately there won't be time left to give this to my client, deadline is by the end of this weekend, auwch!

soon = the next couple hours. Oh okay. Stable's out, time for some fun anyways
XML loading would do fine for starters *holding keystrokes back*
