glass roughnes pleaseee!!!

Hey Kosmokrator...

Could you please explain this effect for me!
Perhapes a example Pic done by a pice of Software, that suppotst this!
I thought rough glass like this could be done by BumpMapping?!??
Or do you mean some kind of "brushed-milk-glass" like this?

the second link describes beeter the roughnes effect..anyway we can do this thing with bump maps but is this right?
and of course maxwell have roughness value and its very easy and usefull to make a blur reflection on a glass material or whatever...

I never tried Mexwell (is there a Demo anyway???) because it cost some heavy weight $$$...
But I think its good to have some People here who know Maxwell, and can tell us what a unbiased raytracer need

well i use maxwell 1,5 years from his alpha stage...it have a very diferend material system fro any other render engine!unbiased or not indigo need some very basic fuctions to add!
yes maxwell have a demo version and exporters for many 3d packages..
give it a try...

no localised version ... and I guess it will never be. And his link
is v1.1 too, but NL is just so .... erm, ... yes .. so ...
