Hi,
I have a problem. Indigo closes everytime I am trying to make a render. Sometimes one hour after initiation and sometimes more (four, five hours).
It does not show any messagge, just closes down and does it. I thought that was related to an error of the file but after some modifications that I have made, it has the same behavior. I tried to do it in other computer and did not work either. Help!

With other file is the same....Indigo Closes !!!

My computer is:
AMD ATHLON XP 2200+
1.34 GHZ Y 1GB DE RAM.

Thank you,
Daniel

sounds like a typical RAM issue for me...

Try to memtest your system, or simply just try to reduce Clock Speed of your memory, and check if Indigo keeps killing it self...

raising the voltage of your RAM (a little) is also common to stabilize the Memory...

sure that you don't mess with the Halt time option? :)
it should be set to -1 ...

Indigo closes everytime I am trying to make a render.
Oh yes I misread you sorry :)

Ever get the task manager opened while you are rendering, thought once the preprocess is done memory consumption is very stable AFAIK, should be something else, again... what arneoog said ? there is a log.txt in Indigo's folder, what says ?

Indigo closes after 10 minutes of rendering, 1 hour, 3 hours or 5 hours of rendering.
Halt time is ok, is -1
It´s a misterious !!

Ok, the log.txt file says:

scene file path: 'C:\indigo\testscenes\imagine2.xml'
Using working directory path 'C:\indigo\testscenes'.
created world.
Loading Scene 'C:\indigo\testscenes\imagine2.xml'...

Is that all ?

Weird, if that's not a memory issue I have no clue of what is happening... Please answer these questions:

1° What are the size of the file (optionally, how many triangles are there ?)
2° can you check in the Task Manager if ram hits a peak ?
3° t'es french Daniel ? (1GB DE RAM) :D
4° version of Indigo used ?

Bidirectional is buggy in v5. In v6, I don't have any issues...is that why?
