Post by enricocerica » Fri Dec 11, 2009 11:08 pm

Here are some new interiors I forgot to publish, still based on the same villa as the previous publications.

They all look good, but the first one is simply splendid.

Thank you for these interiors! They're really interesting, I still have to learn loads of things :!:
The only thing which bothers me is that the plant and planter on the last image are way too dark in my opinion. The books' detail with ultra-pronounced DOF is the best one. Not so interesting architecture-wise but what a render! :D

Love it! Excellent detail!

Did you model the grass outside? If so, is it from particles? Or is it an instanced grass-patch object? I'm still stuck between modeling and displacement grass, trying to find a good combo.... Yours looks great though!

Thanks for comments,

@Pibuz: Indeed I'm not very happy with that dark foreground plant but too lazy to recal ;)

@StompinTom: I'm not very satisfied with the displacement for grass and the particules hair or strand produce huge scene files so I finally opted for bilboards with a grass and alpha mask (I found that somewhere on that site) and a particle emitter using this bilboard as an instanciated object facing the camera, and I mixed several particle emitters, some with grass and other with flowers, really efficient and very CPU cost less.
