Greetings,
my entry for the promo contest:
Modeled with Blender, rendered with (duh!) Indigo. Stopped at ~2k mpp. Little color correction and slight glow with Gimp.
I would still tweak quite a bit, but I don't really have the time so there you go
C&C welcome (to be taken in consideration for my next work.

Heya Skypa!
A very nice rendering, especialy the composition. I dig it!

I like the colorplay between the blue and red ... the copper makes it
really interesting to look at it.
Some crits tho ...
- to much DOF, reduce it
- the mirror looks "smoky", change the IOR to more then 8 ... maybe 20-80.
- a bit to much specularbloom in combination with noisereduction (try to use the blooming only on really bright parts)
- the seam/joint between the tiles is a bit huge, ... for my taste. ;o)
- ... where is the soap?
Nontheless a very beautiful image. Keep up the good work!
PS.: Gruesse aus Friedrichshain in Berlin ... hehe! ^^
take care

Thanks psor, those are some quality crits.

I think I'm gonna correct it, though I promised myself not to.
Could you elaborate the "specularbloom in combination with noisereduction"? Since there is no noise reduction from my part, I tried NeatImage on it, but it completely washed out my wall-bump.
Thanks for looking.

Well, ... I thought you where using some kind of noise reduction,
but it looks like it's the glow filter + the DOF that is doing this
blur. What you could do is to mask some parts that got some
strong reflections, like the tap and use the filter just on the
masked parts ... in your version I can see the glow filter
is almost all over the image and it's bluring it more. This
could be your approach as an artist ... but if not ... ;o)
PS.: Erzfeind? *LOL* Schleif schon mal dein Schwert und schwing
dich auf dein' Zossen mein Freund und Kupfersticher! ;o)) j/k
take care

Great render but that floor doesn't seem to match with the rest of the image. Anyways it looks great!
