Wouldn't mind stayin in that hotel. Im loving the sofa, just looks so cool lol.

Here my 2 cent:
your carpet texture doesn't tile, this could be fixed.
Also your lamps are looking strange to me, just like solid blocks
to do lampshades simply use a single sided shade mesh with a diffuse transmitter material,
and in the empty middle a light source... done!
here an example of my current project:
Using different materials for the wood of the door and the bed would be also a good idea (the one used is way to saturated red), the metal of the lamp and the bed would be much nicer if used cr.nk instead of some gold one

Here also use different settings for exponent!

You're absolutely right, I'm having always problems with blended materials, and that was my first scene where I used theme, now it looks crap to me, but then... it was beauty for me
