So long render time, but still visible many light artefacts...it is because for GPU rendering and denoising does not possible set max contribution...I dont know it is bug or some limitation of GPU,
but for me personally it complicates the work a lot... small fireflies with high intensity will make a big ugly
spot when denoising...

Hmmm so you suggest bidpt with denoiser?

wow 6 hours , you must have made nerves from steel , when i renders my image longer then 10 min i am quite impatient ...
maybe u can tell us something about your render machine especially cpu and GPU model and brand .
Yeah well the project was quite long, complex and serious. So I left each and every final render over night to cook.

My CPU is i7-5930k @3.5GHz, while my graphic card is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080

I mainly suggest that this be resolved by the developers :) Now for you, try to render an image using CPU bidir, set the max contribution to about 10 and compare the results.

Indigo GPU render with denoising is very good...this is only 5 minutes render (rtx2080ti). Longer render time makes picture sharper, but farflies artefacts can appear.
I wish this would be fixed
