I see. What about the fact that I tried unsuccessfully to upload my scene? Is there a mb limit?

Hi Antonis,

Could you explain how did you obtain this nice spectral glare?

I really like this!

I used two pictures, one as aperture and one for obstacle map my friend I think they are inside the Indigo build. I also did it by putting the camera facing the sun. I hope that helps.

Would you mind to share thumbnails of these 2 maps? Me didn't achieve such a glare ever, too.

Went back to my scene and checked. I used Indigo's default square aperture map and this photo as obstacle map. Blade offset 0.3 and radius 0.7 at -4 angle.

Thank you Antonis,

But I need a bit more explanation to understand well your method to obtain this nice effect, maybe because I do not use the same exporter than you (you probably use Cindigo)?

For example I am very surprised to learn that Indigo have "default aperture maps".
Where can I found that such a map?
  • When I scan the install directory, I can found a "Obs/" folder but the files there are not bitmap images?
In the camera settings I have added

Code: Select all

	<obstacle_map>obstacle.png</obstacle_map>
	<aperture_shape>
            <generated>
                <num_blades>16</num_blades>
                <blade_offset>0.200000</blade_offset>
                <blade_curvature_radius>2.000000</blade_curvature_radius>
                <start_angle>0.100000</start_angle>
            </generated>
        </aperture_shape>
I also use your proposed settings.
I am not sure about the way to declare the obstacle map:

Code: Select all

<obstacle_map>obstacle.png</obstacle_map>
should I have to use "<path>" indeed?

I do not succeed to obtain the nice rainbow effect that you have, even with a kind of eyelashes or dust, and it's probably becasue of the way to add it into the igs.
