Rendering artefacts

Post by JONC » Mon Mar 01, 2010 12:54 am

Not really sure if these are in fact rendering artefacts (not really sure what they are), but there seems to be some weird spots on my render here:

Anyone know what's happening here?

Thanks in advance!

Is UV-maping ok.
Sometimes i get that when i join 2 objects with different mat, even if it looks ok (for me in blender) because i remove doubles - re uv map - assign materials, but it wont be rendered ok. Then i model the mesh again.

If there is noise shader, remove it because it doesn't work.

Is there something intersecting?

Would be good to know what version of Indigo/Exporter etc. you're using.

Currently using 1.1.18 (both Blendigo exporter and renderer).

The weird thing is that, from another angle, you can't see any of these artefacts:

Yet, in the render posted above, its the artefacts are quite obvious.

There are no UV maps on the car, only a phong material. Nothing is intersecting.

Thanks in advance.

I've heard that this was an issue on that version/old versions of Indigo, but is now fixed.
Try Indigo 2.2 and see if it fixes it
