Hi,

I am a new user of Indigo with SketchUp.

I am finding that render times are much to long. How can I improve the render time required?

Thanks.

What are you comparing the render times to?

What kind of scenes are you rendering?

Are you using the optimations for these scenes?

Are you using CPU only or GPU?

Unless you own a 12 core Mac Pro with duallready, go ahead an buy one. That will improve render times!

On the other hand, if you want to have some more meaningful feedback you need tomprovide a lot more detail!

JuJu alreadyy mentioned a few.
What hardware are you running on ?
What Indigo Version are you using ?
What render mode were you rendering in ?
Is it an interior rendrer or an exterior render ?
Do you have lots of small light sources ore just a couple of big ones ore are you using a HDRI ?
If it's an interior render are you using Exit Portals ?
Etc. etc. etc.

All these things can play a role and sometims the differee is substantial.

Long rendered the materials glass, gemstones, water and skin. Simple materials (stone) rendered many times faster

My simple test [ ASUS n56vv | i5 2.60GHz | 6GB RAM | x64 ]

Try to test the stage and lay howling result after 20 minutes

The grapes have a fairly complex material as well, so that might be why it's taking a while.
