Indigo Renderer v3.8.23, OS X 64-bit build

Hi,
today I have installed the new Indigo Renderer v3.8.23,
on my OS X 64-bit build.
I am rendering the same scene that I rendered with indigo 3.6 and I see that using gpu acceleration:
1) the speed is about 760 samples/s with the new indigo 3.8.23
2) the speed was about 1100 samples/s with the old indigo 3.6.
Why? i read that with the new version the speed should be 2X faster and instead it is slower
And there is nomore the glass acceleration option?

Yes, and this can be the reason for your change in speed!
Indigo 3.8 now supports ArchGlass, that is superior to the old Glass Aceleration option!

The Samples/sec are only a rough speed indicator! It is way more important how "good" the samples are!
Try rendering your scene for the same amount of time in 3.6 vs 3.8 and give Arch Glass (3.8 ) vs Glass acceleration (3.6) a go

Thanks.
So it not so important the speed of Samples/sec?
Now I have deleted all the glasses but the Samples/sec is 804 (before 760 and with shindigo 3.6 1100)
Do you think I do some other mistakes?

the Samples/sec are important, but not always comparable between versions, and mostly not between rendermodes!
(Glass Acceleration was rather a rendermode optimization that favored Glass, but it rendered other materials often slower!)

Yes, instead of deleting it, change the glass material to Arch Glass on them

tomorrow I will try.
Can I write you tomorrow or send you PM?

Sure, but please try by your own first, we are talking here about the absolute basic Indigo usage, it no rocket science

I'm also no Sketchup user, so can't answer any detailed exporter related questions
