strange reflections after "resume render"

Hi,
tonight I have done a rendered and it was all ok!
This morning I have opened Indigo and then:
1) I have opened the igs scene file,
2) then I have resumed render from the igi file

the result is a strange effect of reflections everywhere as you can see in the image
Can you help me? :?

For me this looks like you resumed the scene with a lower resolution!
If you take a closer look, you'll see that Indigo rendered smaler on top of your rendering...

The question is now why that happened?
Did you maybe changed the resolution inside Indigo GUI during the first render session, and have not saved this changes back to the IGS ???

Please double check the resolution.
Also a quick restart of the main render for 5min, then save IGI and resume, to see if this happened again, just to be sure it doesn't, would be great!

Hi, thanks for the answer.
Could it have been the IGS supersampling factor different form the IGI supersampling factor?
I will make some testes in these days.
Can I write you again in the next days?

Yes, changing the Super Sampling does change the internal resolution! Changing it on resume is very likely to end up like your scene!

Fell free to test & post whenever you have some time :)

I think we have here a quite clear case of paranormal virtuality. Dimensions are clearly melting and becoming one towards the infinity....

hi there, I'll hijack the thread somewhat to report a similar and unexpected behaviour I experienced today while resuming a render; in short, the scene name into the igi changed to a different, most recent scene name that I had to remove from disk so I could point manually to the original scene file. I did load the igi alone to play with tone mapping in between, but for the life of me I don't reckon I saved it outside of a rendering context. No harm done since Indigo was set not to save igi automatically.

I can confirm I have the same behavior

Hi!
Did you change resolution?

This is actually a pretty dope effect : O

It's clearly not a resolution issue. In the image sent by pixie, the camera viewpoint before and after resume is different. The result from two different cameras is superimposed.

Maybe you changed the camera interactively in Indigo, and resumed the scene without having saved it with the new camera parameters?

I think galinette is right on the money again :)

This thread is pretty strong evidence that we should (optionally?) pack the scene file into an IGI file for easy / error-free resuming.

I think that pixie said yesterday on the chat something like "i had multiple files in a queue, and now, whenever i want to resume one they got mixed", so the difference in the angles in the render can come from overlapping different files, i guess. :) Ono-Sendai tried resuming renders from queue, and it worked for him, so I'm guessing this is a localized error. As for the glitch in the first post, no idea, nobody is reporting! :D
