Saving materials

Post by thesquirell » Fri Sep 19, 2014 3:34 am

Greeting Indigoers!

I am curious as to how to export a material from Indigo standalone, or from c4d. When I select Export Material from the Extra tab inside c4d, nothing happens, and in standalone GUI I can't find that option.

Thanks! :D

In the Indigo standalone GUI, it's on the file menu of the actual material property editor widget.

Yes, at the moment the C4D Indigo material export is broken and so deactivated.
You'll need to export your scene and then save the material from the Indigo GUI!

BTW: if you material contains textures, then make sure to save a PIGS to colect all textures inside that file!

Guys, thank you sooo much. I was looking at some old threads from 2012, and i got lost. I used a workaround, since i didn't see that "File-Save Material" in the properties of the material, by creating a new material for my database from standalone GUI with File-New Material (found in the upper left corner). Sorry guys for such a noobish question, got it all now! <3
