Greetings fellas,
I am having hard time figuring out how to implement IES profile to any light in 3Ds Max using IndigoMax. Could you tell me if it is even possible in this current stage of the development of the exporter? When I create photometric light in Max, it just converts it to a large sphere, but when I try to create it from a plane, or mesh, there seems to be missing an option in the emitter tab (No IES path or anything similar).
Thanks in advance.

I'm not a 3D Max user but would suggest it to be in the material emittance settings if it is available...
IndigoMax last update was 7months ago (!!!), I suggest you ask your question directly in the Exporter release therad, so the dev will see it (I doubt he browses this forum...)

good luck!

My dear Zom-B,
Thank you so much for your answer. I will try to post it in the exporter section. Let us hope it catches up with the rest!

It's possible but not into the exporter; you have to tweak the igs file yourself.
I propose a way to do that:
IES in 3ds Max with Indigo renderer is a very valuable functionality, please, do not forget 3ds Max users!
I propose a way to do that:
- breathe
- create a photometric web light with an IES into 3ds max and export it with Indigo4max
- you obtain a big sphere (1m) at your light placement
- open the igs with notepad, change the scale value (0.001 instead of 1 for example)
- see if the IES is not inverted on Z, add a Z rotation of -pi if it is
- You can use "IES viewer", a free software, to check that before your render
- I recommand to test the IES on to a white wall (place your light about 10cm of the wall) to check if everything are correct (indigo can only take "2D" IES
- breathe again
- If everything fail, you can ask here for other recommandations
