Exit Portals & HDR Environment

Hi,
Maxigo tells me to disable my exit portals when using an .exr as Environment ('no environment set'). Is that correct?

No, it tells you exactly the opposite... It warns you that enabling portals without environment is not valid. Portals have no meaning and no purpose without environment.
On your screenshot, you have one envmap defined as environment, so the warning message is strange. There are two ways to define environments : like you did, or through a background material. As the latter is the new way to do it, maybe maxigo forgets to check the environment setting. In that case, just forget the warning, this should work. Maxigo is quite bugged.
