Hello!
Apologies in advance for spelling mistakes but my English is very weak and Google to help me. For several days regularly browse the forums and have already encountered a number of very interesting information and articles. However, it is the thing which does not give me peace and nowhere can I find the answer to my question. I mean a simple lighting effect inside the room and sunlight (coming through the windows). As for the sun I know that in the options tab is "sun and sky." Are all the options there exposure to the sun sets or maybe I'm wrong? What to highlight the interior uses the "emitter" for individual items here as well if I'm wrong? I would like to highlight just a room in a cool way.
I ask for your understanding, but these simple questions you are probably only be able to answer me ..
I'm using:
* SketchUp 8
* Indigo Renderer 3.0.14 for Windows 32-bit
I cordially greet, Pawel, Poland
Question about light
Re: Question about light
Hi pawel.
As far as I understand, you cannot reproduce an interior with sun/sky AND emitters.
That is really simple.
1. check your tonemap options: always use CAMERA and not REINHARD.
2. in your environment settings use sun/sky system, putting them preferably on different layers.
3. in your scene set a material to be an emitter, and put in another different layer.
4. launch the render.
You will have to play a little with lightlayers' powers but you'll find the right balance.
Let us know if it works.
