Right click on the gray "title bar" of a section still there

This is probably a bit obscure and not very intuitive. Would you prefer them(all the optional widgets) to be listed as checkable items in a "Window" menu item in the menu bar?

They would fit into the "View" menu pretty well imho.

I think it would be useful if there were:
- ALL menu commands available as toolbar buttons, albeit in different toolbars so people can choose which ones to add.
- Also a way to customize the order of the buttons would be handy.
- Custom toolbar groups or one or more 'Favorites' toolbar groups.
- Collapse/expand panels. For example Scene above Render Settings it's not possible to completely collapse Scene without closing it.
And also, but this may already be the case (I didn't check) let people know that with the current GUI they can hold down the Control button (probably Option for the Mac) to move a panel somewhere it would normally dock, without docking it. It's required to press the Control key
before clicking the window border though with the mouse.
Maybe it makes more sense if I mock this up for you. I will if you like.
