how to make an animation using blender and indigo

Hello, all.
I'm completely lost as to how to use indigo to make animations. I want to make this animation using indigo because of the excellent caustics. I tried to make an animation using blender and indigo last night, but when my animation was complete, all I had to show for it was alot of .igmesh, .igs, and .png files. To get an animation from these files, I guess I have to somehow sequence all of the .png files together?? Does indigo do the sequencing of the .png files somehow? Do I need another app for this?? What are the .igmesh and .igs files for??

A BASIC (for dummies, even) blender/indigo animation tutorial would be GREATLY appreciated! Does anyone know of any such tutorials?

Thanks,
scatman :?

Erm, ... could you tell me why you are posting your question more then once and then again
in the Work in Progress section of the forum?! I don't get it ... it won't let the answer come faster.

Take it easy and have patience! :P :D ;)

take care

Hi scatman, you should be able to load the folder of png's into MovieMaker or virtualDub in order to produce a video with.

igmesh's are the geometries used by the igs scene description file wich Indigo used to produce the png's.

Hi! Maybe this topic may help a bit. For me the best way is to export animation, make the batch file a render through the console.

Blender itself has a sequencer / video editor built in. It can easily import a sequence of images and render to AVI or MPG (providing you have an ffmpeg build).
Please try google for blender sequencer tutorials.
