hope you like it. There are still many details to be added, but I love the atmosphere.
As you can see, there is a smoothing issue on the column...don't know why because "Set smooth" is enabled in blender...maybe too few polys?

Let me know what you think.

Cheers,

Psy

:D ah well I'm breaking silence again !

I feel like the tonemapping doesn't make justice to the scene. And the lenghty blank walls are a bit suffocating(?), maybe there will be more openings/floors ?

thanks CTZn.

yeah maybe tonemapping could be better, but I should learn how to deal with it...any suggestion?

and yes, there will be more openings!

My suggestion is to use the camera tonemapping for pretending photorealistical pictures :)

You can obtain right the same output with the Reinhard tm than with camera or even linear, talking about contrast. The drawback of reinhard's tm is precisely it's versatility, you can easily find settings that will produce tones and contrasts never experienced before and hence "easy to ... erf ... critic(cisizoozoo ? You know, what I'm doing all the time ;) ).

Colors in the camera tm are driven by actual recording devices data, reproducing the tones we are used to see on displays and photographs. That psychological pretext is a big argument for me, camera tm is a strong guide toward photorealism in my opinion.
and yes, there will be more openings!
I'm glad to read that !

Cause that's why the smoothing issue occurs, as reported various times all over the forums ;)

No way mate, no sorries if there is a progress. Take your time, just coz it's yours ;)

I'd be glad to guide you if you wish so, but perhaps I won't if you don't ask :)

be sure I will ask..! for example: how can I solve the smoothing issue on the column? I understand that it's a bump mapping issue, but must I simply subdivide more? or is there any other way to circumvent the problem?

Thanks a lot CTZn
