Ok so this my first indigo WIP topic.
I'm a French architecture student working on a Town Hall project in "St Cyr l'école".
So this is not the first step of my work, It's been a long while since I began working on it. And still the model is not finished at all.
Whatever, now that it's a little more suitable I thought about posting.
So as you can see I'm not very good with texture, whatever, I'll improve it.

lookin good so far!
much of the time texturing isnt all that important when presenting an architectural project for review, sometimes they even bash for going photorealistic. the important thing is the massing, space and light of it all. that said, some context, ie. photoshopping a skyline in the background, could make it look more 'complete'!
and let it render for longer so it clears up. maybe some color toning/white balancing?
thats an interesting design though!

Yes still I have to model the buildings around ^^ and put some adds with photoshop as you say.
About color toning/white balancing, I got a little problem, my screen is not well set up, and for now on I found nothing to help me configure it....so I never see colors good and don't give it attention usually. Whatever I'll have to do it on an other computer lol.
I can let it run more, but I always up a new version lol (and I need to cool down my pc)
Thanks for your advices, I'll make some tests with violet :p
PS: I checked your gallery, there are some of those images I used to look at in the architectural gallery and that made me try indigo lol.
You're working as an architect or something ?

Superbe modele!
For me all it needs is a slight fixing of UV coordinates in a few places and a bit longer rendering... But then again, I'm no architect.

Hihou !
UV coordinates ? The textures rupture on plane faces ? (lol I'm a little lost in 3D vocabulary)
Whatever I'm happy you like the model !
Thank you !

yeah im an architecture student over here in the cold northern wasteland of Canada

its actually not that bad!
i also run an arch. viz business doing random contract work with a partner. weve done some local stuff and just finished a contract for a firm in Kuwait, thats the tower you see in the gallery. im glad that my stuff could inspire you!
watch out for that repeating texture on the wall to the right, either use a bigger texture or change the existing texture so that its not as noticeably tiled.

I'm asking myself how am I gonna fill it a little with urban context, As a mater of fact, when I went in St Cyr (the place where I'm drawing a town hall) I couldn't take proper photos of the buildings around, cause it was all full of trees.......so I don't have texture for them or even photos I can insert my model in with photoshop.
So I think about making them all lambertian and white....just to show their presence, or a pretty material....

although big concrete buildings have the reputation to be very massive and "cold", this one seems very light and comfy. Nice design, well done ! be sure to post the final result.
Cheers

Thanks Harry, As you noticed it, I'm trying to make it cool and light ^^.
Of course I'll add the final renders (I'm gonna make a lot of scenes) and the different steps of the progress. ^^
Cheers !
