what are you using as lightsource? if sunlight, then try to use exitportals in your windows.

give it a day ;)

scenes usually start to look clean with upwards of 2000 - 3000 samples per pixel.
it varies a lot on the scene though, and will take longer than that to clear up some areas, especially where there are shadows or indirect lighting.

Hi Hasan,

first --> welcome aboard, have a seat - drinks are in the fridge!
Looks promising already. Some quick questions for ya.

1. How is your scene lit?
2. Did you use any exit portals?
3. Whats your system spec (CPU/RAM/OS)?

edit: Darn, I'm to slow! :P :D ;)

take care

SmartDen, not sunligt. I use blackbody spectrum.

Code: Select all

   <background>
   <spectrum>
            <blackbody>
                <temperature>5000</temperature>
                <gain>1.0</gain>
            </blackbody>
   </spectrum>
   </background>

for better results you should use sun light + exit portals

im not talk about supercomputers......some simple core 2 duo 4500 or 6550 will do incredible work with renderings......and is in general terms cheap....anyway i dont say buy new pc with irony!.....just for him i know how it is to wait ages to finish the rendering ,i have too, some ages before ,slow pc :wink:

Looks like path tracing to me...maybe use MLT instead? Although using bidirectional path tracing with exit portals will work even better.

Whaat, yes, I just learn Indigo. Ok, I changed Metropolis =False and I use Exit Portal. Now, it is fast and clear. The render is running, but the result is following at 30. minute (800x600):

Well, I'd say, Exit Portals where a good idea, but in this scene, I don't actually see too much direct light... SO, I bet, it's better to switch Metropolis on...
(you can easily see this, when looking at the carpet, which is noise-free, where the sun shines on it, but all the rest will stay relatively noisy...)
