Hi

Glass is a material difficult to be rendered, usually creates a box in which you insert objects are illuminated with a map of the area with environmental or light, usually getting good results.
In the example, the scene is illuminated by sun + sky with a totally unexpected result.

What are your rendering settings? Also, what is the problem with the render?

I still don't understand quite what's wrong with the image. There seems to be a lack of sunlight though - if you want to render realistic glass in sunlight (very intense, sharp light source) I would try rendering with BiDir + MLT.

Hi contegufo, there is imo nothing wrong with the render but the environment. Maybe the biggest jar is intersecting with the plate ? Some geometries could use more subdivisions.

Just add a couple trees for reflections and/or a fake cloud behind the camera, give your glass something to play with. A render is about how light is interacting with the camera surroundings. In that sense, glass is just one more lens adding to the camera.

Thinking of your exterior bike renders (well done btw), adding just one close-by palm tree would add a lot to the sunsky system. Anything that would partially block the incoming light. Cast shadows

The image shown here was made by changing only the rendering algorithm = Bidir + MLT. Overall it is similar but there are some flaws.

You still haven't explained what exactly you think is wrong with the picture.

It's lacking shadows and caustics, as if there were no sun

Example with sun + sky Bidir. the last is evident the contribution of the light and low sun at sunset.
@gallinette: shadows on the plate there are, the sun is behind.
