Max subdivisions problem in Skindigo

I have a certain problem when applying displacement maps on objects and putting a value (1-10) in max subdivision box. No subdivision smoothing turned on. The meshes are ''broken'' somehow... I'd like to know if I'm doing anything wrong. Thanks.

Check the walls if it has enabled exit portal.
Right click, then edit active mesh. Otherwise, unable exit portal.

No exit portals. Besides there are other meshes ''broken'' too such as the car, the cat etc.

Looks like a displacement scale issue or lack of sufficient subdivision.

The way the cat is "broken" (cut in two) evocates much an uncontrolled exit portal situation, as Nino suggested.
If you are using displacement make sure to push the related objects by a small amount, that is to say centimeters (0.01m) rather than meters (values equal or superior to 1.0).

All my displacements are 0.003m to 0.02m. I realized also that if I don't put any subdivision value no displacement takes place at all.

Recently I tried to use SkIndigo further and I was stopped by the assignement of exit portals wich was propagated to surfaces the portals were inferred from; I can not tell much more since I don't use SU much, if at all. I should RTFM I assume
Unlike bump mapping, displacement happens on points only; that's why adding more points through subdivisions is necessary to see an effect.
