I can make some 3d clumps of grass if you want Radiance, just tell me how they should look and thats almost done (Maya has presets to generate grass and trees and more, everything is customizable tho)

I'm just flabbergasted by the specs of your scene !

very tropical. sort of makes me sad. I love the way the scene transitions from the sky into the trees, its more than that its realistic! oh, and i actualy think it might ruin this effect if you let it render for longer, the grain adds to the tropical feel of this picture

Acknowledged, obj is my default format for export. I'm going to give it a try. Floor won't be included I think.

You've got a new message Radiance
[EDIT] but I got to say the result may be unusable cause it's so heavy... lemme know how that has to be so I can do some better stuff (less density per surface ?). Btw the card method can be an excellent method, as sawn in the tut posted by Manitwo right next that post.

Did I miss something?

It is ! Glad I helped.
Blooming can be faked I think. Using a tonemapped exr you can keep the highlights only, export LowDR, gaussian blur them and comp over the original tonnemapped image.
Looking forward for a more advanced render
