Apache/2.2.9 (Debian) DAV/2 SVN/1.5.1 PHP/5.2.6-5 with Suhosin-Patch mod_ssl/2.2.9 OpenSSL/0.9.8g Server at hamsterfight.co.uk Port 80
I was serving the SVN using apache, the .passwd files are generated with apache's htpasswd utility for apache's Basic Auth.
Really though you can set up the auth however you feel comfortable - now you know which devs had access to the repos, just issue new passwords
For the devs, this will probably just mean making a new checkout from the new repo, rather than trying a 'switch' command (in fact, part of me thinks that'd be a much better idea anyway).
