I just tried out the new Violet beta and it's great. Now am I missing something or is it true that there's no gamma & exposure correction like in HDRshop? Maybe the same corrections can be done through the existing tools, but I don't know how or if it's there.

Use the controls inside Violet - exposure and gamma are controlled by the coefficients for Reinhard Tone Mapping - Burn, Pre Scale, Post Scale.
There isn't really a generic "exposure" and "gamma" slider.

there is provision to change the gamma in Violet, but it's not represented on the GUI yet.

Good. So if gamma is going to be (or might be) available in the GUI, then so can exposure because it is so simple to implement. I vote to have these two basic adjustments added to the GUI. It would be more intuitive than messing with the tone mapping.

If you want gamma and exposure controls right now, save .exr maps and adjust them in your favorite editor.

you can use "pre-scale" like exposure.
