Wrong, I said look for the name inside the file, not the name of the file. If you look carefully you'll notice that inside the "Ghot_Glass.igm" file there is a "Thin Glass" material (of type blend) that is using two sub materials called "SP_Thin Glass_SP" (type phong) and "NULL_Thing Glass_NULL" (type null).

Of course you want the resulting material, which is the one of type blend, so you should name your blender material "Thin Glass".

Do you follow the logic?

Notepad will (I'm assuming you're working on windows).

EDIT: notepad will also read .igs files (the scene files upon export). I do however suggest notepad++ (google it) because the bigger the file gets the higher your chances of notepad crashing. For material files (.igm) its no problem but for scene files (.igs) it most likely will.

You are doing the normals wrong. Reverse them.

Be sure all normals are pointing outwards after giving it some volume!
