New material database inbound!
Re: New material database inbound!
Actually, the specific wording is "blend". The fact that they fail to distinguish between the two is at the core of the ambiguity..

Well of course, i dont have the skindigo plugin and Im not going to install it just to see what it looks like. SO i cant actually keep defending my point.neo0. wrote:Actually, the specific wording is "blend". The fact that they fail to distinguish between the two is at the core of the ambiguity..

Well, you can always check out the tutorials.. They don't really clarify what the difference is between the blend options..
Re: New material database inbound!
I find it funny that someone who has never used SkIndigo (borgleader) can easily understand what the options mean. I think I made it about as simple as I can. Notice right above the drop-down box is the word 'map'...neo0. wrote:Well, you can always check out the tutorials.. They don't really clarify what the difference is between the blend options..

Whaat, I use SkIndigo every now and then and I think it's as clear as it can get...
And now... back to topic please!
I like the new mat DB layout
Will the mats from the old DB be carried over?
The function to use the mats from the DB one click with the exporters sounds damn nice!

i think what zomB means is that i stated that the fry mat db looks a bit like the old indigo material database (back when i wrote it they had a fancy flash material db that looked quite different - never understood why they dropped it....).pixie wrote:???

Re: New material database inbound!
Still I don't see why using a tabled scheme would qualify as 'using' the Indigo Material DB
Re: New material database inbound!
Well, that may be the case for the newer versions of skindigo, but im using 1.1.16 and the world map is no where to be found.
I think it would be really neat if you could click on a material in the db and skindigo (or whatever exporter you were using) would acquire it and automatically load it in. More interaction between the indigo site and the exporters would be good in general.. With my limited understanding, im pretty sure it would be possible. You would just need an activeX control. Maybe live material palletes that stream changes on a material or something.. I don't know..

There are two running on this site but I can't tell what they are for, I'm blocking them. Java and flash I guess...
