I am now called Sparlin, having only posted a couple of times as Speedlin. I was unable to use the name speedlin due to messing up the registration first time round. So now Speedlin is Sparlin...
Anyway, I have been making various materials for the database and have decided that i'm happy enough with them now:

Great materials!!!
The old website with MatDB is still online:

As I think & hope that the old materials get transfered to the new database you could put them there online!

Hi Sparlin, great ressources really. At first glance I was annoyed by a detail, finally today I downloaded the files and this was confirmed: bump values are way too strong, for instance the threadplates, from the alpha black to white values they are set to 4cm or so; approximatively 8-10x what a reasonable value could be I believe. A good test for this is to use the alpha map as displacement (just as a test since planar surface do not often require displacement).
It's safe to assume the bump values are in real world dimensions (meters), if that can help in the future.
Great stuff nonetheless, and thanks a lot for sharing !
