bahamut : like with vray toon?
bahamut : I need to do some quasi technical animations and they would like tho have it that way
Ono-Sendai : hmm
Ono-Sendai : yeah probably
Ono-Sendai : with albedo shader on diffuse using cos theta stuff
Ono-Sendai : will try that later
bahamut : Please do
bahamut : I don't want to buy vray for this
Ono-Sendai :

sorry for my ignorance, Ono, but can you explain the || bit of the code within "line"? seems like an "and" or "also" type operation? this effect is similar to somethings I have been trying to work out on my own, combining meanCurvature() with some other property, but I think my approach has been super convoluted so far. I'd like to understand this more...

The shader is working but it is not fit for your scene, contegufo. It works best with smooth surfaces. Subdividing geometries may produce better results too.
