To render efficient FLAT window panes, the only solution is arch glass indeed. Fast and issue-less.

What I would expect, though, is that the other kind of glass would render slower but correctly.
Instead it seems that either you set it arch glass or you won't get a decent result in reasonable render times.. :?

As technology is the fastest developing part of society, in a year or two, it won't be question which glass to use in render, and every render program will be unbased, because comp speed will not be the problem :) That's one of the reason for me to use indigo as default render program :)

Pibuz: they're all pretty much correct. Keep in mind that the first glass type from Saint-godain has dispersion, which is why it's so much slower to render. The other ones are just, as you said, slower. 7 minutes is not much, especially on an i5 processor.
