Is it possible to manipulate the Stained Glass texture?

Post by Sharkyzero » Thu Jun 06, 2013 9:33 am

I've got the idea about how to use it but how does one adjust the colors of the material? Can I open it somewhere and edit the shaping? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi again,

The colors are randomly picked from a texture included in the material (you need the very last beta version to edit it, as previous ones did not allow shader images in GUI).

The shape is a procedural voronoi pattern, and the colors are procedurally random. This means, that the shape is not modifiable as is.

If you need a custom shape and color, you need to make a material by yourself! The hints are:
- Make a glass material, using your stain glass color texture texture as "absorption layer"
- Make a stain material
- Make a blend material blending the two, with a black/white mask as blend function defining your cells and stain parts
