Tried to follow CTZn's MarbleStudio2D but it keeps getting me an error.
I mean to do a "VelvetStudio2D" thingy but it's too complex not to require shared parameters, wich seem to be on their way. A normal shader would indeed be more efficient than bump mapping with this approach, I for one need training in this regard.

I think that what galinette is showing to us here are new material types, not just an Indigo material with procedural parameters we would use like the ones mentionned above. It's not Indigo anywaysdcm wrote:very nice test, but they looks kinda plastic for my eye, maybe some small tweaks should help.
I'm pretty sure one could do a blend shader similar too this fresnel trick.
