A tutorial on how to create a pool with caustics in SketchUp and Indigo.
Modelling a pool in SketchUp
Re: Modelling a pool in SketchUp
Inspired from the whole "shader" topic, I'd like to ask if it is possible for anyone around here to write a very simple shader to simulate canvas bump on a flat plane without having to map a texture..
Re: Modelling a pool in SketchUp
...and btw: is there any chance that one day we will have these wonderful shaders integrated into sketchy without the hassle to copy/paste a mathematic code?
..would be wonderful to have the workflow like:
1. choose "shader" instead of constant, sketchup or texture
2. click the three dots
3. Choose from a list (perlin, speckle, noise, fractal noise, canvas, etc..) with mini images
4. Once selected, sliders to control the parameters

That would basic make ISL more accessible to most, but In the other hand Pibuz, such basic, one-liner shaders should also be accepted as such, and harnessed. This would open many more doors to artists.Pibuz wrote:...and btw: is there any chance that one day we will have these wonderful shaders integrated into sketchy without the hassle to copy/paste a mathematic code?

Face it, there are two multiplications to bother with edit: with that basic shader one has got rippled glass, paint, water, mountains, whatnot. Think about it
Again, I'm not saying that your request is worthless !
