I like this version a lot, especially the new sun positioning tool, i can see that coming in very handy.

One (hopefully) small request, could you make the text in the buttons a bit blacker, at the moment they all look like the greyed out ones in windows, so i keep thinking i cant press them.

Having shaders working again is also very cool :D

This is great! Wonderful!!!
Downloaded and installed! I can't help to test this bad boy!

A big thank to you!

Sorry for the delay, but yesterday I was thinking of a simple check in the SkIndigo UI to include/exclude the render data (would be useful to have the check working in the on-rendering Indigo UI, indeed, to inlcude/exclude it in real time..)

Not quite sure what you are talking about, Pibuz. Are you referring to the Info Overlay? That feature has been included in previous versions (in advanced settings)

INFO OVERLAY! Thank you, I was totally missing the term
Is there a real time check in the Indigo GUI I missed too?

Wow, this looks awesome. Thanks, whaat! Out of curiosity, how do I use the sun positioning?

Open the settings window, environment->sun and sky->overide sun position->set sun position, then click whereabouts in the viewport you want the sun.

Would it be possible to do something like this.. Skindigo ads a "sun model" which represents the location of the sun. The user can move it around freely just like any other option and when you do, it updates the position of the sun.. :)

Neo0, just draw a cube, add a light material with high powerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr and move it like any object. if you want soft shadows, like hazy air, create a large surface.

this method works, i often use it to simulate virtual architectural model shots

look

by playing wih layers then you can do what yu want.
placing the sun with just one click is just awesome. so what do you want more?

in french we say "on tend te tend le petit doigt et tu prends tout le bras", i dunno the equivalent in english, but it means that we give you so many awesome stuff and you want still more although you are the one who need.

Life is also about skill, about how to use stuffs, not just having stuffs that do everything for you. otherwise, what would you do?

EDIT : oh my god, sorry for the huge image, forgot to resize it.
edit EDIT : tiddles! image resized :p

neo,
Check the link in the first post for more detailed description and instructions about using the new features.

The sun doesn't work this way, neo. The sun direction is a vector (because it is so far away). With the method you are saying, each time you change your camera location, the sun position would appear to shift (unless you placed it very far from the model). I think that in practice, you would find this workflow very annoying.

I personally set out to improve on the typical "set sun direction vector with widget" workflow and I hope I have achieved that. From the comments of djegoo, it sounds of like I have.

@djegoo: your comments and renders make me :D It is a pleasure to have you around here!
